How long does it take to build a done-for-you sales funnel?
By the Atomic Funnels team · Updated September 23, 2026
Short answerMost done-for-you sales funnels take two to six weeks from kickoff to launch. A single opt-in page can be live in a week; a webinar or VSL funnel with copy, video and automation usually takes three to six. Atomic Funnels delivers a full split-test funnel build in a typical 3-4 weeks.
- Typical range: 1 week for a templated opt-in page, 2-3 weeks for a standard sales funnel, 3-6 weeks for webinar, VSL, application or membership funnels.
- There are two clocks: the agency's production days and the client-dependency days (offer decisions, assets, approvals, recording). Client response time is the most common reason a 3-week build becomes a 6-week one.
- The critical path runs offer → copy/script → recording → design and build → integrations → QA → tracking. Video and payment/DNS integrations are the usual bottlenecks.
- Atomic Funnels' typical delivery is 3-4 weeks. Onboarding starts the same day as payment, takes about 2 hours by video or audio with no live call, and development usually begins the same day.
- Atomic asks clients to finish onboarding within 48 hours of paying and record the webinar within 72 hours of receiving the script — those two windows are what keep the build on schedule.
- Launched is not the same as converting. Expect several weeks of traffic before split-test data is meaningful.
How long a done-for-you funnel takes, by scope
Published agency timelines cluster between one and ten weeks, and the spread is explained almost entirely by scope. Here is the honest range you should budget for in 2026:
| Funnel type | Typical time to launch | What drives the time |
|---|
| Single opt-in / lead magnet page | 5-10 business days | One page, one email, existing brand assets |
| Standard sales funnel (landing + sales page + checkout + email sequence) | 2-3 weeks | Copywriting, checkout setup, email automation |
| Webinar, VSL, application or membership funnel | 3-6 weeks | Script, recording, video post-production, multi-step automation |
| Funnel + CRM automation + structured testing phase | 6-10 weeks to "optimized" | Live traffic and iteration, not just build time |
One agency publishes one to two weeks for a standard lead generation or sales funnel and two to four weeks for complex webinar or membership builds (iSure Media). Another sells a two-week full done-for-you build covering strategy, copy, design and systems (Kate Sullivan Agency). A custom model stretches further: strategy in weeks 1-2, copy and setup in weeks 2-5, testing and optimization in weeks 6-10 (Danielle Klemm). The median serious answer for a full custom build is about three to four weeks.
The two clocks: agency days vs client days
Almost no agency page separates these, and it is the single most useful thing a buyer can understand before signing.
- The production clock is what the agency controls: research, offer refinement, copy, script, design, development, integrations, QA.
- The calendar clock includes everything that waits on you: finalising the offer and price, handing over logins and brand assets, recording the webinar or VSL, and approving deliverables.
A build quoted at three weeks of production can easily take six on the calendar. The usual culprits, in order: the client has not decided what the offer actually is; the webinar or VSL recording slips by two weeks; approvals sit unread for days; platform credentials arrive late. None of these are agency problems, but all of them are your launch date.
Before you hire, ask any agency for two numbers: their production days, and the list of things they need from you with deadlines attached. If they cannot produce the second list, the timeline they quoted is aspirational.
The critical path, phase by phase
Funnel builds run mostly in sequence, because copy cannot start until the offer is settled and design cannot finish until the copy exists. A realistic per-phase breakdown for a webinar or VSL funnel:
| Phase | Working days | Blocked by |
|---|
| Offer engineering and positioning | 2-4 | Client decisions on price, guarantee, deliverables |
| Page copy and webinar/VSL script | 4-7 | Offer sign-off, research access |
| Recording the webinar or VSL | 1-3 | Client calendar — the most common slip |
| Design and page development | 4-7 | Approved copy, brand assets |
| Video post-production and variations | 3-5 | Raw recording quality |
| Integrations: checkout, CRM, email, calendar, SMS | 2-4 | Third-party approvals and API access |
| QA, mobile, speed, domain and tracking | 2-3 | DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate |
Integrations are where optimistic timelines die. Payment processor review on a new account, an email platform migration, calendar and SMS reminder logic, and pixel plus server-side conversion tracking all involve someone outside the build team. Budget slack for them rather than pretending they are instant.
How Atomic Funnels runs a 3-4 week build
Atomic Funnels' typical delivery is 3-4 weeks, and the process is designed to remove the two biggest sources of delay: slow onboarding and slow recording. The published process describes what happens and who is responsible, rather than a fixed day-by-day schedule.
Onboarding starts the same day as payment
Onboarding begins the same day payment clears and takes about two hours, answered by video or audio with no live call. It runs in three phases: credentials and assets plus meeting the team; an offer-creation exercise; and an 18-question automated video interview. Development usually begins the same day.
Offer, copy and script
A 6-person specialist team works on each build: copywriting, video editing, graphic design, frontend development and account management. Offer engineering uses Alex Hormozi's value equation — raise the dream outcome and perceived likelihood, reduce time and effort, neutralise price, risk, time and trust objections inside the funnel. The webinar and VSL scripts are built on Russell Brunson's Perfect Webinar framework, re-engineered for modern attention spans.
Recording and video post-production
Clients are asked to record the webinar within 72 hours of receiving the script: one long take on Zoom, Loom or Riverside.fm, no editing or special software. There is same-day coaching before recording, and Atomic's editors handle post-production, including shorter VSL variations.
What gets built and handed over
Pages are built in ClickFunnels 1.0, ClickFunnels 2.0, GoHighLevel or WordPress at no extra charge, in the client's own accounts. Four customer journeys are built to run head to head: a 1-step long-form VSL page; a 2-step "no control" journey with a time-stamped CTA; a 2-step control journey with an evergreen CTA; and a 3-step webinar registration journey. Also included: a 10-email, 30-day nurture sequence, call booking and/or Stripe checkout setup, automated SMS and email show-up reminders, responsive mobile versions, domain assignment and page load speed optimization. Approvals happen in a dedicated Slack channel with direct access to the whole team, and the team does its own quality control.
Atomic works with 4-5 brands per month. Full details of the package, the $10,000 price and the optional split-test upgrades are on the homepage, and the split-test architecture page explains what is being tested and why.
What the client controls
Two deadlines decide whether a 3-4 week build lands in three weeks or drifts. With Atomic Funnels they are explicit:
- Complete onboarding within 48 hours of paying. About two hours of video or audio answers, no live call to schedule.
- Record the webinar within 72 hours of receiving the script. One long take, coaching provided the same day.
- Approve deliverables in Slack as they arrive, rather than batching feedback.
Everything else — copy, design, development, video editing, integrations, QA — sits with the team. If you are travelling, mid-launch or unavailable to be on camera for a week, say so before you start and set the kickoff date accordingly.
The delays checklist: what pushes builds late
- The offer is not finalised. Price, guarantee, bonuses and deliverables still moving means copy cannot be written twice for free.
- Recording slips. The single biggest schedule risk on any webinar or VSL funnel.
- Missing assets. Logos, brand fonts, testimonials, proof, product screenshots, logins.
- Payment processor review. New Stripe or merchant accounts can be held for verification.
- DNS and SSL. Domain changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate; start them early.
- Email platform migration. Warming a new sending domain is not instant.
- Batched or committee feedback. Three stakeholders reviewing in series adds days per round.
- Tracking left to the end. Pixels and conversion tracking should be configured before launch, not after the first traffic.
Can it be done faster? What 48-hour and 7-day claims really mean
Yes, something can be live in a week — but check what is being counted. Seven-day "done-for-you system" offers (The Agency) and 48-hour AI build claims describe template assembly: an existing template, an existing offer, and copy that is either yours already or machine-generated. That is legitimate work and sometimes the right purchase.
What cannot compress into 48 hours is research, custom offer positioning, an original webinar or VSL script, a recorded and edited video, and a multi-variant test structure. If those matter to you, a one-week promise is a signal to ask what is actually being produced. Ask any agency directly: is this a template fill or a custom build, how many revision rounds are included, and is a rush option available and at what cost?
The other honest compression lever is scope. Launching one journey instead of four, or a short VSL instead of a full webinar, genuinely shortens the calendar.
Launched is not the same as converting
The funnel that goes live is version one. Several agencies frame it that way explicitly — one notes that ongoing testing determines performance around month three, not at launch (iSure Media), and another builds a testing and optimization window into weeks 6-10 (Danielle Klemm).
Plan for two to four weeks of real traffic after launch before split-test data is worth acting on, and longer if your volume is low or your sales cycle is long. That means traffic needs to be ready on launch day. Atomic Funnels does not run ads or manage traffic — the client or the client's media buyer drives it, and that traffic decides which split-test variant wins. Clients without a media buyer can be introduced to Atomic's marketing partner.
For context on how fast results can move when traffic is already there: Wardogs Academy went from 0.3% conversion on their previous landing pages to 1.2% within a week of switching, and 22 days later had sold $100,000 of courses with $0 ad spend using organic YouTube traffic. Results vary and are not typical or guaranteed — more detail on the case studies page.
When a 3-4 week done-for-you build is the wrong call
Be honest with yourself about fit before you buy timeline:
- Budget under $10,000. That is Atomic Funnels' minimum and it does not take smaller projects. A freelancer or a template is the faster, cheaper route — see agency vs freelancer and what funnels cost in 2026.
- You need someone to run ads. Atomic builds and hands over; it does not manage traffic or ad spend.
- No proven offer or method yet. If nothing has produced a result, spend the time validating before building. A step-by-step method that got results is enough even without formal case studies.
- You will not go on camera. The webinar recording is on the critical path; there is no way around it in a webinar build.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take an agency to build a done-for-you sales funnel?
Two to six weeks is the normal range. A single opt-in page can be delivered in 5-10 business days, a standard sales funnel with copy, checkout and emails in 2-3 weeks, and a webinar or VSL funnel in 3-6 weeks. Atomic Funnels' typical delivery is 3-4 weeks for a full split-test build.
What makes a funnel build take longer than quoted?
Client-side dependencies, almost always. The offer is still changing, the webinar recording slips, brand assets or logins arrive late, feedback is batched, or a third party holds things up — payment processor verification, DNS propagation of up to 48 hours, or an email platform migration. The agency's production days are rarely the problem.
Can a sales funnel be built in a week?
A templated single-page funnel with existing copy and an existing offer can. What cannot be done that fast is original research, custom offer positioning, a written and recorded webinar or VSL, edited video, and a multi-variant test structure. Seven-day and 48-hour claims generally describe template assembly, which is a different product.
How fast does Atomic Funnels start after payment?
Onboarding starts the same day as payment. It takes about two hours, is answered by video or audio with no live call, and covers credentials and assets, an offer-creation exercise and an 18-question automated video interview. Development usually begins the same day.
What does the client actually have to do during the build?
Three things: complete onboarding within 48 hours of paying, record the webinar within 72 hours of receiving the script (one long take on Zoom, Loom or Riverside.fm, no editing needed), and approve deliverables in a dedicated Slack channel. Copy, design, development, video post-production and QA are handled by the 6-person build team.
How long after launch before I know if the funnel works?
Plan for two to four weeks of real traffic before split-test data is meaningful, and longer with low volume or a long sales cycle. Traffic should be ready on launch day. Atomic Funnels does not run ads — the client or their media buyer drives traffic, and that traffic decides which variant wins.
Do I own the funnel when it is finished?
With Atomic Funnels, yes. Clients own 100% of the assets created, and everything is built in the client's own accounts — ClickFunnels 1.0, ClickFunnels 2.0, GoHighLevel or WordPress, at no extra charge, plus email sequences in any email platform.
